Down Syndrome Awareness Month… People with Down Syndrome have an extra copy of the 21st chromosome, instead of two 21st chromosomes they have 3(thus why Down Syndrome is also known as Trisomy 21)….so Veronika and people with Down Syndrome have 47 chromosomes, and those without DS have 46 chromosomes, so we are actually more alike than different ♥
