I’ve been thinking so much lately about this roller coaster we are riding on our journey with Veronika as it comes to the time she is to start school in a month….for me it was bitter sweet when we finished at Early Childhood Intervention Services(Veronika’s school she started when she was only 7 weeks old) in December….bitter because we said farewell to the most amazing support network we could of ever wished for….sweet because it then meant Veronika is set to start school, something the thought of 6 months ago filled me with dread….but I had started to realize it was indeed amazing that Veronika is set to start school, because at one point we thougth Veronika wouldnt survive her birth, let alone start school….so come that day on the 6th of February, rest assured there will be tears as Veronika WALKS into school, party sad tears that my baby will be starting school, but more amazingly happy tears that she will not only be starting school, but she will WALK into school, a goal that I set over 4 and a half years ago….yes she will need her walking frame, but Veronika Will Walk into kinder and I am sorry to say, but I will be the happiest proudest Mummy on that morning in a month…
