Back in mid April when Veronika had her hip reconstruction, the thought crossed my mind that she would have most of term 2 off school for recovery, and be well and truly back at school by term 3. We all know Veronika writes her own book, so throwing in a couple of complications following surgery meant that she didn’t make it to school in term 2. So today is a little bitter sweet….as term 3 started today, my girl is heading into her 13th week off school. At the end of this week she will have missed almost a third of the school year.

However on the positive side we are where we need to be. Up at Monash Children’s hospital for rehab. Working on regaining those skills lost over the last 3 months. Veronika is working incredibly hard during her therapy sessions which are happening multiple times a day, we have a great team supporting Veronika on her journey to mobility
